Well what is there to say about Robin that has not already been said about him by his wonderful owners!!!
Robin is owned and loved by Rick Kupershoek and Shari Burant of Calgary. He is their first Whippet, but not their only one.
Robin is a son of Multiple Group Winner BISS CAN CH Poseidon Mispickel Bourbon St. (Dalton) and the full litter brother to the 1999 National Specialty Winners Female CAN CH Poseidon Calumet. His bloodlines go back to great coursing and show kennels such as Devonair and Nevedith kennels in England.
He has had extensive genetic testing done on eyes, heart, hips and is registered with CERF and OFA.
Robin finished his show career with back to back Best Of Winners.
His coursing career has been much more rewarding for him, and Rick & Shari. He started in 1999 with with wins at both the Foothills Gazehound Club and Alberta Lure Coursing Club Puppy Stakes. Robin officially started his coursing career in 2000 where he won multiple Best In Fields in such provinces as Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. Robin was the #4 Whippet and #4 Sighthound in all of Canada!!! Amongst his wins was the Lower Mainland Whippet Association lure trial in June of 2000 where he defeated 5 stakes of Whippets (60 dogs) to be Best Of Breed and then went on to Best In Field. In 2002, Robin won the coursing class at the Stampede City Whippet Club Specialty.
Robin has passed the 750 points plateau for lure coursing.
He is currently attending flyball classes and has attained his FDX (Flyball Dog Excellent) title and is working on achieving many more.
Robin was the proud father of 4 puppies in May and again in July. Watch for progeny of his to make their debuts in 2004.
